These frustrations inspired Pladio.
I believe internet radio is one of the best ways to discover new music – it’s curated by passionate humans, exposes you to unexpected genres, and connects you to communities around the world. But the technology hasn’t kept pace with how we actually listen to music in 2025.

Pladio is a multi-platform radio streaming app built from the ground up for iOS, macOS, and CarPlay. It combines the serendipity of traditional radio with the intelligence of modern music services. Here’s what makes Pladio different:
Automatic Song Recognition
Pladio listens in the background and automatically identifies songs playing on your stream, even when radio stations don’t broadcast metadata. No more frantically reaching for your phone. No more lost discoveries. Just seamless identification that works whilst you listen.
Apple Music Integration
Every identified song connects directly to Apple Music. See high-resolution artwork, read lyrics, and add tracks to your library with a single tap. Pladio enriches your radio experience with the full power of Apple’s music catalogue.
Seamless Device Sync
Your favourites and listening history sync automatically via iCloud. Start listening on your iPhone during your morning run, continue on your Mac at work, and control everything from your car’s CarPlay display. It just works.
CarPlay Done Right
We didn’t just mirror the phone interface – I have built native CarPlay templates specifically for safe, distraction-free radio control whilst driving. Large buttons, clear information, and everything you need within easy reach.
Built with SwiftUI
Pladio is written entirely in Swift and SwiftUI, providing native performance and a beautiful, responsive interface that feels at home on every Apple platform.
The Launch Plan
Pladio is launching as a completely free app with all features unlocked. No trial periods, no advertisements, no strings attached. We want to build a community of radio enthusiasts and gather feedback before introducing premium features later in 2026. Core radio streaming, song recognition, and device sync will always remain free - the fundamental radio experience will never be locked behind a paywall.
