Pricing Update — v1.4 Launch Reset

When I launched Pladio 1.4 last week, the response blew me away. Honest, detailed, generous feedback from radio enthusiasts, fellow developers, and the Apple-blog community — including a thoughtful piece from Caschy over at Caschys Blog. Thank you. Genuinely. But one piece of feedback came up again and again, from almost every corner: the prices are too high.

I sat with that for a few days. I re-read the comments. I looked at what comparable indie apps charge. I looked at what Pladio actually offers in v1.4. And I came to the same conclusion you did: You were right. The prices were too ambitious for where Pladio is today.

So I've adjusted them. Here's what's changed, and why.

Pladio 1.4 is Here — Premium Features, More Free Features & Smarter Station Database

This is the biggest release since Pladio launched — and the most important one.

Pladio 1.4 introduces the app's first Premium features, a whole new wave of free features, and a fundamental shift in how the radio station database works behind the scenes. It is the moment Pladio grows from a great free app into something you can rely on for the long haul.

Here is what matters most before anything else: every feature that was free in Pladio 1.3 is still free in 1.4. Forever. No paywalls have been moved, no features have been taken away, no ads have been added. Premium is what grew on top.

HogLens — Import from PostHog, Funnels, Retention & More: What's New in v1.2

When I first launched HogLens, the idea was simple: give developers a native macOS and iOS experience for their PostHog analytics. Build dashboards, monitor events, sync across devices — without opening a browser.

With version 1.2, HogLens takes a massive step forward. You can now import dashboards directly from PostHog, visualize conversion funnels and user retention, and keep everything in sync with Re-Sync and Re-Analyze.

Pladio 1.4 — Join the Beta (with Bug Hunting Rewards)

After shipping Pladio 1.3 with the macOS Menu Bar MiniPlayer, AirPlay support, and dozens of improvements, I'm now working on the most important release yet: Pladio 1.4.

This update introduces Pladio's first Premium subscription features alongside new free additions. It's a milestone I want to get right — and that's where you come in.

I'm looking for 100 beta testers to join the Pladio 1.4 TestFlight program, starting in April 2026.

This update represents the most significant evolution of Pladio since launch.

Radio Streaming for the Modern Music Lover

Do you remember the last time you heard an incredible song on the radio, scrambled to grab your phone to Shazam it, only to miss it by seconds? Or discovered a fantastic radio station on your commute, only to have no way to access it later on your Mac?

These frustrations inspired Pladio.

I believe internet radio is one of the best ways to discover new music – it’s curated by passionate humans, exposes you to unexpected genres, and connects you to communities around the world. But the technology hasn’t kept pace with how we actually listen to music in 2025.
