Join the Pladio Beta: Help Shape the Future of Radio Streaming

I'm excited to announce that I'm opening up the Pladio TestFlight beta program to passionate radio enthusiasts who want to be part of shaping the app's future. If you've been enjoying Pladio and want early access to upcoming features while providing valuable feedback, this is your chance to get involved.

What's Coming: Manual User Radio Stations

The first development release available to TestFlight users will introduce a highly requested feature: Manual User Radio Stations. This feature allows you to add your own favorite radio stations to Pladio — stations that might not yet be part of the curated database. It's a significant step toward making Pladio even more personal and flexible.

As an indie developer building Pladio in my spare time, your feedback on this feature is incredibly valuable. While I can't promise that every suggestion will be implemented exactly as requested — individual feedback needs to be evaluated within the context of Pladio's overall product strategy — I genuinely want to hear your thoughts, ideas, and experiences.

What to Expect as a TestFlight User

Active Feedback Welcome

I'm looking for users who are willing to actively engage with beta releases and share their experiences. Whether it's a bug you've discovered, a usability concern, or a feature suggestion, your input helps me make Pladio better for everyone.

Understanding the Risks

I want to be completely transparent about what participating in the beta program means:

⚠️ Important: Beta releases may affect your data

TestFlight releases are development versions that may contain bugs or introduce changes that could impact your:

  • Favorite radio stations

  • Manually created radio stations

  • App settings and preferences

  • Other features that may be modified during ongoing development

I cannot take responsibility for any data loss that may occur while using TestFlight releases. If your favorites and settings are important to you, please consider this carefully before joining the beta program.

How TestFlight Works

If you're new to TestFlight, here's a quick overview of the process:

  1. Request an Invitation: Send me an email expressing your interest (details below).

  2. Receive Your Invite: I'll send you a TestFlight invitation via email.

  3. Install TestFlight: If you haven't already, download the free TestFlight app from the App Store.

  4. Accept the Invitation: Open the invitation link on your iPhone or iPad to install the Pladio beta.

  5. Provide Feedback: Use the app, explore new features, and share your thoughts directly through TestFlight or via email.

Switching Back to the Production Version

You can return to the stable App Store version of Pladio at any time by simply downloading the current release from the App Store. However, please be aware that your user settings and radio station data may still be affected by changes made in the TestFlight releases you've used. The database and settings modifications from beta versions aren't automatically reverted when switching back to the production app.

Who Should Join?

The TestFlight program is ideal for users who:

  • Are comfortable with potentially unstable software

  • Understand and accept the risks regarding data loss

  • Want to actively contribute feedback and ideas

  • Are excited about being among the first to try new features

  • Can communicate issues clearly and constructively

How to Join

If you're interested in becoming a Pladio TestFlight tester, please reach out to me directly:

📧 Email: [email protected]

In your email, please briefly introduce yourself and let me know why you're interested in joining the beta program. I'll review requests and send out invitations as spots become available.

Thank You

Building Pladio as a solo developer has been an incredible journey, and having engaged users who care about the app's direction makes it even more rewarding. Whether you decide to join the beta program or continue using the stable release, I truly appreciate your support.

Let's make Pladio even better — together.
