TestFlight Beta: Version 1.2.0 Now Available

I'm excited to announce that Pladio version 1.2.0 is now available for beta testing through Apple's TestFlight program. This update brings three significant improvements that I've been working on, and I'd love for you to try them out before the official release.

What's New in 1.2.0

Manual Radio Stations in CarPlay

One of the most requested features is finally here: your custom manual radio stations are now accessible directly from CarPlay. Whether you've added a local community station or a niche stream that isn't in the main database, you can now enjoy your personalized collection while driving. The implementation includes optimized favicon pre-loading, ensuring your station artwork displays smoothly without delays.

Redesigned Radio Browser with Swipe Actions

I've completely revamped how you interact with stations in the Radio Browser. On iPhone and iPad, simply swipe right on any station to add or remove it from your favorites—no more navigating through menus. Swipe left to quickly report an issue with a station's stream. For Mac users, these same actions are available through the familiar right-click context menu.

Fresh New App Icon

Pladio gets a brand new look! The updated app icon features a modern design that adapts beautifully to your device's appearance settings. Whether you prefer Light Mode, Dark Mode, or Tinted icons, Pladio now looks right at home on your Home Screen across iOS, macOS, and watchOS.

Join the Beta

As always, I rely on beta testers like you to help identify any issues before the public release. Your feedback is invaluable in making Pladio the best radio streaming app it can be.

How to join:

  1. Open the TestFlight app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac

  2. Accept the invitation or use the public TestFlight link

  3. Install Pladio 1.2.0 and start exploring the new features

How to provide feedback:

  • Use the "Send Beta Feedback" option in TestFlight

  • Email me directly at [email protected]

  • Report issues through the new swipe-to-report feature in the app

What's Next

Based on your testing and feedback, I'll continue refining these features before the official App Store release. Thank you for being part of the Pladio community and helping shape the app's future.

Happy listening!
